"We are a group of diverse young people around the continent pursuing a better and peaceful Africa and the world as a whole by instituting programs that promote tolerance and an enabling environment for all. Our programs are designed to enhance young people capacity on the negative effect of discrimination and conflict. Since 2009, we have built the capacity of youth in environmental conservation, climate change, leadership, conflict management, and youth development programs. We strongly support the all UN Conventions that uphold and respect human dignity, most especially the United Nations Declaration of Human Rights Principles and all the UN Goals".
Zero Tolerance for Discrimination
Every member of YATIA-Africa is expected to uphold the dignity of all individuals, regardless of race, ethnicity, tribe, religion, gender, or background. Discrimination in any form is strictly prohibited.
Commitment to Lawfulness and Integrity
YATIA-Africa members must not engage in any illegal activities, including drug trafficking, human trafficking, cultism, or any behavior that threatens human dignity or disrupts peaceful coexistence.
Respectful Dialogue and Conflict Resolution
Members must respect differing opinions and commit to resolving disagreements peacefully and constructively—at all times, in all places, and under any circumstances.
Promotion of Nonviolence and Rational Thinking
As ambassadors of peace, YATIA -Africa members must lead with intelligence, composure, and empathy. Emotional reactions must never override sound reasoning. We are peacemakers, not destroyers of peace.
Neutrality in Political Discourse
Members should refrain from engaging in politically biased discussions that may compromise the organization's mission. YATIA-Africa does not align with any political party or agenda and discourages tribal or religious favoritism.
Openness and Empathy
Members must maintain open minds and hearts, treating all individuals with respect, understanding, and compassion, regardless of their views or circumstances.
Constructive Communication
YATIA-Africa members are encouraged to depersonalize problems. Blame and accusations should be avoided in favor of calm, solution-oriented discussions that do not allow emotions to escalate into conflict.
Trust and Collective Responsibility
Trust, transparency, and shared responsibility are core to peace-building. Members must foster a sense of confidence in each other as a demonstration of unity and a tool for dismantling tribalism.
Independence from Political Influence
Under no circumstances should any member of YATIA -Africa accept payment or favor from political activists or parties for campaign or propaganda purposes. YATIA-Africa is a strictly non-partisan organization.
YATIA is a nondiscriminatory, nonprofitable peacebuilding and human rights organization founded against what is believed to be one of the major problems facing sub-Saharan Africa (Tribalism, ethnic discrimination, racism, xenophobia) and the world at large. With that, YATIA was founded to address issues pertaining to Tribalism and any other form of injustices and discriminations against humanity on the continent of Africa.
Vision
YATIA envisages an African Continent in which there will be a total eradication of Tribalism (Ethnicity), discrimination and any other form of injustice practices against humanity; aimed at building a pacific and cohesive African continent that will adopt a peaceful and nonviolent society.
